Campaign to make Bond theme new British national anthem and proposed competition for composing the words

The song for the new James Bond film, Skyfall, was revealed on the singer Adele's website this morning. Monty Norman, the man who composed the iconic Bond theme tune, reflects on how the music was developed.




If I had a spare £1m I would offer that as first prize.

'I-I was born with this unlu-ucky sneeze and what is wo-orse I came into the the wo-orld the wrong way round. Pundits all agree that I-I'm the reason why...'

We just need to change this form of words into something that extols the people of Britain, its government and of course its leader ....
