Police policing social networks

I hate the way they never tell you what was actually said when they report that someone said something grossly offensive to someone else on Facebook.

Is it not enough to be reported and have your account disabled, or be disabled from posting for a period of time?

Why do the police have to be involved?

Why are the police policing free speech?

Is all this just a job creation scheme for morbidly obese or disabled policemen and policewomen?

I think we should be told.
