Female academic awarded £233,574 to research "masculinity norms"

Dr Bonny Hartley

Bonny Hartley:

"I was awarded £233,574 in 2016 for a three-year British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship to explore whether and how masculinity norms contribute to boys’ underachievement at school, and the effectiveness of intervening on these norms to improve boys’ achievement."

A warning to men who are BMVOF*: things will get much worse very quickly if you continue to ignore the problem of feminism

Our matriarchy does not care about BMVOF. Being a matriarchy, they will always prioritise the concerns of female voters whose support is crucial to winning any election.

The more men become BMVOF, the more feminists will use these men as evidence that men are inferior to women, and claim more privileges against men, creating even more BMVOF creating more evidence men are inferior to women, increasing the female demand for more privileges against men etc etc. Feminists don't care about male mental health. The more neurotic he is, the more vulnerable to feminine manipulation he is. Eventually the few men allowed to live will be drones for the purpose of mating with the queen and the only female allowed to mate is the queen. Male chicks and bulls are routinely destroyed, for obvious reasons.

Points to bear in mind about the imperative of defeating feminism:

1. Men who want legitimate male offspring should campaign ruthlessly to abolish no fault divorce to clear the decks for themselves, or else be financially ruined by the rules of no fault divorce which will in addition deprive of them of access to their children in practice.

2. Men who want to defeat feminism must not put the cart of sexual access before the horse of re-establishing the patriarchy.

3. Men who want to defeat feminism must not put the cart of marriage before the horse of abolishing no fault divorce.

4. Men unprepared to defend marriage who do not send the vile baggage of feminism packing really do not deserve to have offspring.

5. A nation whose men cannot acknowledge the need to re-establish patriarchy through uncompromisingly supporting marriage does not deserve to survive.

6. A nation whose senior male politicians are too morally degenerate and intellectually dishonest they cannot acknowledge that marriage is the indispensable ingredient of patriarchy does not deserve to survive.

7. A nation in which no men of talent or political ambition can acknowledge that marriage is the indispensable ingredient of patriarchy does not deserve to survive.

8. A nation in which no men of talent or political ambition can acknowledge that nationhood cannot exist without the indispensable ingredient of patriarchy does not deserve to survive.

9. A nation in which no men of talent, leadership or political ambition can be bestir themselves to challenge and defeat the matriarchy because they are atheists and do not care what happens to their country after they are dead does not deserve to survive.

There's SO much evidence that girls' school work is marked down when it's got a boy's name on it. Boy's work is marked up when the names aren't included. The whole school system has been set up to meet girl's needs, and it's only since that program came in that boy's performance plummeted. But that's somehow due to boys themselves?

I always thought it was that teachers, male and female alike tend to grade the female students higher than the boys. I literally copied a girls work through my first year of highschool and still got worse grades than her, despite not ever getting caught cheating.

Later found out she had been cheating of some other guy who was getting worse grades than her as well.

Most teachers are female and female teachers dislike boys.

She lost me about here ..... £78k per year to do a study and then pulls out the feminist line at the start of paragraph 2. I read the rest, it's a lot of what was already anecdotally known anyway. Great way to spend the taxpayers money.

Single sex education at secondary school is obviously the most sensible way of doing things.

I really think it is important for the sexes to bond with each other before they think of bonding with members of the opposite sex.

It is also confusing and stressful at adolescence to find yourself suddenly having to compete with your classmates to have admirers of the opposite sex. Distracting too.

I suspect the matriarchy will be most reluctant to give a safe space to boys and wants them to continue to be feminised by competing for the sexual favours of their female classmates and having underaged sex. That is how disgustingly corrupt the educational establishment - female dominated, of course - is.

Valid points Claire. I send my boys to an all male Catholic school even though I'm not Catholic. Their motto is raising fine boys to the status of great men is one I applaud. And in the main it works.

I attended one of those schools. As did my dad, and his dad. Glad I did.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT HOW THAT PERSON GOT PAID 300K TO RESEARCH SOMETHING THAT DOESNT EXIST AND WASTE 3 YEARS OF TIME?

Claire Khaw said...

I could have told them why boys are under-achieving for free.

Interesting that they gave the money to a youngish woman, isn't it? I am sure there were plenty of men gagging to do the research, but they had to go and give it to a woman.

I'm sure she was extremely objective ..... as you can see in her opening feminist passage in paragraph 2 ......

You mean this?

"Although boys and men still enjoy many social and economic advantages relative to girls and women, they lag behind throughout their schooling across many developed countries. My research explores how boys may fall foul of ‘masculinity norms’ which construct boys as potentially competent, but boisterous and troublesome. Since masculinity norms are motivated to protect male dominance, boys who are conscientious about school work and comply with teachers may represent a threat to the appearance of male superiority if their academic success appears to be an outcome of their effort, rather than raw talent. Further, boys who work hard but do not achieve, actively disconfirm stereotypes of inherent male competence. I am currently examining the age at which these masculinity norms surrounding effort and achievement develop, and will then assess their quantitative impact on boys’ achievement and develop new ways to counteract their adverse effects."

Please explain how it was feminist.

Claire Khaw said...

You can think of no social and economic advantages boys and men enjoy over girls and women?

AR said...

I can think of many that women have over men. This is 2017, not 1952.

AR said...

My beliefs on the social fabric in 2017 may not meet yours Claire, we shall agree to disagree on that point.

Claire Khaw said...

For the sake of argument, could you give examples?

AR said...

So women enjoy no social advantages over men ? Men enjoy what particular economic advantage over women ? The wage gap is a myth.

Claire Khaw said...

Can you explain why it is a myth?

AR said...

Claire, clearly you have your ideas on this subject, I have mine. It is pointless me pointing you to the literature that you have possibly seen and dismissed. In my world it is not only a myth but farcical to assume it ever existed beyond 1960. In my world the gender disparity in workplaces is being addressed by legislation and female ratios, not by having the best person for the job. If you think being a male in 2017 has advantages then you don't live in my world.

Oh, sorry, one advantage is I can lift heavy things.

Lemme get this straight.

The school system has been modified around the western world to actively advantage girls over boys over the last half century or so and the result has been the inevitable decline in boys academic success as girls surge ahead.

This has been shown on many occasions to be a success (for the girls) and hailed as a wonderful thing.

Now the fact that boys are underachieving in a system actively rigged against them is because of 'masculinity norms'?

AR said...

Apparently so. I disagree but this is the argument being put forward.

So a woman can say their masculinity is their problem.... I guess femininity is a woman's problem
