Perhaps the wisest thing to do for all concerned is to take a *lighter* view of "racism" and the giving of racial offence?

Otherwise it would start getting really really silly and the British would be even more of a laughing stock of the world than it is already.

Accusing people of racism is a double-edged sword, after all.
