Apparently, a concerned member was so concerned that he or she wrote to Head Office seeking reassurance. This was the reassuring response received:
"I' ve been party to some of the conversations within ukip about your alleged purchase of tickets to the conference.. they are like headless chickens rushing around to make sure there is no way you can gain entrance. An edict has gone out.. they are taking more precautions about letting you in than a plague outbreak!"

Thank you for your email. Please be assured that Claire Khaw will never (in the foreseeable future) be granted UKIP membership. Also she has been barred from the annual conference in Birmingham 21st/22nd September.
