I read that speech and it does not seem to me to be in any way disloyal to Cameron, however much I despise that woman.

May insists she is loyal but is being a "realist" in the highly unlikely event of a contest.

It seems fair enough to say that she would throw her hat in the ring if there were a leadership election. What ambitious senior politician already in Cabinet and already tipped for leadership wouldn't?
