I regret to inform those who were looking forward to seeing me in the documentary that I will not be in it. I have been informed by the Assistant Producer:
I suspect the photos they will use will be this one at http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/which-type-of-mangina-are-you or one of the others at http://thevoiceofreason-ann.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/httpwww.html
I regret to inform those who were looking forward to seeing me in the documentary that I will not be in it. I have been informed by the Assistant Producer:
"I just wanted to inform you that unfortunately the footage we shot with you will not be featured in this week's show Farage Fans and UKIP Lovers. The filming we did with yourself was great, this decision is purely due to the amount of footage we have and trying to fit everything in to one show."
@ntfem sounds like they only want to show us as nutters, instead of normal people. oh well.
— RobinHoodUKIP (@RobbingHoodUK) March 2, 2015
Yes, there was quite a lot of footage consisting of two days of filming one day from 9:30 to 12:30 and the other from 2 to 5 pm.
@ntfem You are supposed to be in it?
— Lauren UKIP (@Lauren4ukip) March 1, 2015
@ntfem They approached me, I decided against. I'll look out for you.
— Lauren UKIP (@Lauren4ukip) March 1, 2015
@ntfem Alas, I think I am in it! I wish I hadn't done it now... I've been cacking it ever since
— A J ELDER-BROWN UKIP (@theblindblogger) March 1, 2015
@theblindblogger I wouldn't worry about it because people who are going to vote UKIP are not going to be put off by us.
— Claire Khaw (@ntfem) March 1, 2015
@theblindblogger Sounds like they have a good range of people which should make it fun to watch.
— Claire Khaw (@ntfem) March 1, 2015
@ntfem
I'm not comfortable being interviewed. Aside of the fact I turn into marshmellow I hate my voice. I come across too camp
— A J ELDER-BROWN UKIP (@theblindblogger) March 1, 2015
@theblindblogger It is always excruciating watching oneself on TV, like a herd of wildebeest stampeding all over your grave, perhaps.
— Claire Khaw (@ntfem) March 1, 2015
@ntfem It's my first time being recorded and I'm really dreading it. I can't even remember what I said. Just hope I never embarrased UKIP
— A J ELDER-BROWN UKIP (@theblindblogger) March 1, 2015
@theblindblogger Whatever happens, UKIP is going to do better than it has ever done before so there is really no need to worry at all.

ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Documentary exploring the wide spectrum of people who are supporters of the political party, examining what draws them to it and what they hope it will achieve. Father and son fishermen Terry and Luke Noakes believe EU directives and quotas are killing Britain's fishing industry, while self-confessed right-wing anarchist and part-time IT tutor David Griffiths thinks the UK has some of the craziest regulations in the world.
You know it's just going to be a hatchet job.
ReplyDeleteI have already done it. It is probably going to be a hatchet job if they asked me if they could use the flag and gun photos!
ReplyDeleteA professional politician cannot insist on only flattering portrayals, however! I just hope that some of my warmth, wit, humanity and likeability managed to shine through ....
I'm sure it will. I didn't realise you were a "professional politician"? I thought you were a lone Nietzschean voice in the wilderness. Are you in UKIP then? I'll be voting UKIP, although I consider them patriotic liberals, there's nothing else viable on the horizon at present.
ReplyDeleteI just have aspirations of being able to seem a professional politician even if I am not one.
ReplyDeleteAh, got it. I think I've given up on politics. I didn't get anywhere and am considered to be a little too hardline for most tastes.
ReplyDeleteIf one cannot persuade one can at least entertain. I think I am known for also being hardline.
ReplyDeleteYou little liar, you're just a softee I've heard, lol. Where's that quote from? (If one cannot persuade ...)
ReplyDeleteThat quote came from ... me!
ReplyDeleteShould make for interesting viewing. You working flat out to sink the ship are you, Claire?
ReplyDeleteI just hope I don't come across too wild-eyed and demented if I am still in the show. I am sure I remembered to wipe the foam off my lips from time to time ...
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will harm UKIP at all even if I come across half mad. UKIP is the choice of voters the LibLabCon have already labelled mad sad and bad.
If you were planning to vote UKIP you would not be put off by little old me.
UKIP = the stick you use to beat the LibLabCon with cos you are SICK AND TIRED of PC Liberal crap.
They asked me if they could use the gun and flag photos and I said yes, knowing they could use them even if I said NO. They did give me a chance to explain why I did it though.
We even went to Whitechapel. While we were in the Altab Ali park a black man I had never met before patted me on the shoulder and said "How you doing?" which I thought was pretty cool. Unfortunately, the camera was not on.
Another black man asked us wearily if we were doing yet another documentary about immigration, which made us smile ...
Anyway, it should still be an interesting documentary even if I am not in it.
