The World Economic Forum has issued a report talking about how they have just done a survey across developed countries that are mainly democratic and countries are mainly authoritarian and people in authoritarian states trust their leaders much more than people in democratic states, so it is that kind of evidence that makes me queasy to just say 'Oh, democracy is the answer.'
