It could be argued that BLM are in fact implicitly acknowledging their belief in the eternal and universal laws of God. They are saying that what they regard as abhorrent in the men these statues represent should also be regarded as abhorrent by all rational and moral people for all time.

Solon ended exclusive aristocratic control of the government, substituted a system of control by the wealthy, and introduced a new and more humane law code. He was also a noted poet.
