I do not deny that moral principles come from religious principles and that religious principles come from religion. The best way of deciding which is the best religion would be to use the universal minimum moral standard of the Noahide laws to determine which of the four gentile religions is closest to the Gold Standard of the Noahide laws. The first two Noahide laws echo the First and Second Commandments forbidding idolatry and blasphemy. Christians by their own account worship an executed blasphemer which must surely offend against the first two Noahide laws and Commandments.
Christians to this day have never explained how Christianity is not idolatry and how Jesus is God. They certainly cannot point to anything in the New Testament which mentions the Trinity by name confirming the thesis that it was something cooked up in the 4th century to win a theological argument against Jews who would predictably claim that the God of Israel is more powerful than the crucified Christ being God Himself and the father of Jesus. Without the father, there would be no son. The existence of Jesus - or indeed anyone - is contingent upon the existence of their parents.
The Nicene Creed claims that Jesus existed before he was actually born, but this is nowhere supported by scripture. However, the reason for this claim is clear: to raise an executed blasphemer in status to be co-eternal, co-substantial and co-equal with the supreme and eternal Abrahamic God who created the Universe. Once the Edict of Thessalonica made it illegal to question the Trinity, Jews would be too afraid to mock Christians for their absurd and idolatrous beliefs.
Christians claim that verses in the Old Testament support the narrative that Jesus is God. Jews however disagree with the Christian interpretation of their scripture. However much Jews and Muslims hate each other, they remain agreed that the Trinity is idolatry.
Brett, is accusing me of being illogical in denying the Trinity. Is he also accusing Jews and Muslims of being illogical in denying the Trinity? Jews and Muslims would say that the Trinity is idolatry and Brett would claim that Jesus is God. We eagerly await Brett's written explanation of how Jesus is God.
