We need to choose a side or take a position to assert our moral agency and obey our moral imperative. But what is our moral imperative telling us to do, and what is the moral system we believe to be ours? Why does America not have an OFFICIAL MORAL SYSTEM bearing in mind what Washington told Americans to with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion? What is morality and what is the religion Washington had in mind? It cannot have been Christianity since the Founding Fathers made a point about separating the church from their state. What religion supports the First Amendment with its holy book? Why did Jefferson talk about "certain unalienable rights"? Why did he consider them "unalienable"? Were they considered unalienable because they were conferred on humanity by God and contained in the Koran? Is there not a White House Koran?
Why is the current political orthodoxy not even based on anything the Founders Fathers might have said? Why is there almost universal indifference about the Founding Fathers. So North America was built on British imperialism, Protestantism and slavery of both varieties. Is America an exceptional nation and does it have manifest destiny? If so, what does it mean for the rest of the world?
What is our moral imperative? It is our compulsion to say what we believe to be the truth. The First Amendment gives us the space to be wrong and proven wrong if we are indeed wrong.
American husbands have been deprived of their First Amendment rights by their wives and the introduction of no-fault divorce. Isn't the remedy for this a class action by American husbands who have lost their First Amendment rights and are so afraid that they dare not say how afraid they are to have a political disagreement with their wife? There is a legal remedy for this, as you must all know. I am not expecting a bunch of boomers to start a revolution. They could just call a constitutional lawyer about judicial review to restore their rights.

If Americans cannot and refuse to use their constitutional rights against an increasingly oppressive and tyrannical government, then what hope is there for the rest of the world?
By the way, weaponised apathy is a product of atheism. The meaning crisis you are all always talking about is really the atheism crisis.
You are all really atheists claiming to be Christian because you think claiming to be Christian is an assertion of your middle class status. Just as the government did not care about the American proletariat, it does not care about the American bourgeoisie. Christianity does not give you the weaponry to challenge your government because it is to this day uncodified and not worth codifying.
Christianity was used by Constantine to defend the divine right of kings. Its modus operandi was to tell Romans to shut up and pray to Jesus if they were upset by anything untoward. Not shutting up could mean being burned at the stake. Romans eventually came up with Stoicism to put up with living in the horrors of a declining and degenerate empire, and we know they are all extinct.
The Meccan followers of Muhammad also suffered from weaponised apathy in that most of them preferred to remain in Mecca and preferred not to accompany Muhammad on his migration to Medina - about 211 miles. If you ever read the Koran which most of you disdain to do, you will notice the verses on jihad were really about cajoling the weaponised apathetics of Mecca to put their money where their mouths were, excusing only the elderly ie the boomers of Mohammedan times.
