I hate to say this, but is it just a woman thing?
I am sure Mehdi Hasan, who also writes for the Huffington Post, would not be quite so easily frightened.
Her English is not the best quality. Perhaps Sofia Ahmed is a prime example of tokenism?

Lol. So you've had a run in with Sofia?? I don't know what high horse she is on usually but the moment you question her, she resorts to calling others idiots.
Huffington post is full of wannabe self important journalists. Very little of it is off good quality. M. Hassan gets it right sometimes but I know Sofia quite well and she is just pure jingoism. Yes, here we have an outspoken hijabi... She must be saying something interesting if she is shouting so loudly.

Sofia Ahmed is a clown and behaves like a petulant child when she is challenged. She blocks people and then slanders them.
A coward who thinks is on a radical train, preaching Islam and yet breaking the basic tenets by slandering people and calling people names.
I cant see her progressing in journalism.

I do question her approah inviting women to say "WE ARE NOT OPPRESSED" holding up posters with faces plastered with make-up on for all men to leer at. Is this even Islamic? Yeah she does seem like a wannabe hankering after married journalists like a postitute to further her career.
