David Laws and his landlord lover

Supposing you are an MP, live in Yeovil and have to travel to London frequently on parliamentary business.

You rent a flat or stay at a B&B. This is an allowable expense for which you can claim.

You fuck your landlord or landlady from time to time over time. You certainly don't go around telling your friends and family that you and your landlord (or landlady) are an item.

Suddenly an allowable expense is no longer an allowable expense.

Is this quite right? Or a gross invasion of your privacy as well as that of your landlord's (or your landlady's)?

Only in Britain, eh?
