My alternative to Professor Becker's idea to make immigrants pay to come here

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/7833428/Nobel-Laureate-Gary-Becker-says-immigrants-should-pay.html

I never got the chance to ask my question though I had my arm raised the whole time.  Professor Roger Middleton who was chairing the panel looked in my direction many times, but it was as if I was invisible.  My arm even adopted a slight swaying motion, but it was hopeless.

The question I would have asked was this:

"Would it not just be simpler if we just reintroduced slavery in the form of a five-year period of indentured labour?  Then all the illegals would flee of their own accord or stay and be of service to the British Nation.  They would be taken to a National Slave Processing Centre where their skills could be assessed and categorised.  British employers would apply for the slave labour of their choice and these slaves would be deployed, for a fee, to the slave-hirer.  Ownership of the slaves remains with the State.
After 5 years they are free to go home.  But if they submit to another 5 years of  indentured labour, they become full British Citizens.  All the labour they gave to the country would be rewarded with a sum of money - a Manumission Grant - to assist them in starting life in this country as British citizens.
Slave-Visitors will be a new public sector job title.  This is to see that slaves are not abused.  This is unlikely to happen as ownership of the slave vests in the state and the government would demand compensation if state property is damaged by the slave hirer.
This country could also export slaves in the form of single mothers who are a charge on the state, including their variously-fathered feral children.  There is a shortage of women in China so this would go down rather well with these single Chinese men who can't find a wife.  This would also assist in servicing the National Debt.
There is no reason why bankrupts and ex-bankers who have brought this country to its knees with their casino banking should not be enslaved too, is there, Professor Becker?"

Why don't live in China? It's a country you clearly love, which makes me think you have never lived there. Your bizarre ideas and rantings would never be tolerated there. It's all very well repeatedly banging on about how wonderful some of their practices are but they only exist through very tight state control, something you are apparently against. Every action has a consequence and it's about time you thought about that.

I am not a Chinese National. I suppose you are another one of those liberals telling me to go "back" to China.

Which Chinese practice do you imagine I approve of, Posie?

Euthanasia, stealing organs, state forced abortion, girls being left to die or drowned in a bucket.....

to name a few.

I am thinking your mother must have been Chinese as they are, culturally, the most cruel.

The Japanese are quite cruel top. Come to think of it, so are the Germans, Russians, Africans etc. The Tudor English were not exactly overflowing with the milk of human kindness either. What are we to think of Derrick Bird? I think we might as well accept that humanity can be quite cruel.

I see that you are trying to make a racist comment, and I want you to know that I forgive you.

Not trying to make a racist comment, dear. Trying to align you with a national identity that suits you. Certain countries lead a much crueller existence, China being one of them. Many of your utterances sound like something the Chinese would go for. You fail to see that your crazy ideas do not fit here, seemingly you think the English/British are Chinese. You forget that should you enforce euthanasia or any such hideous idea that it changes a culture as a whole.

Why don't you regard me as a alien then, from the Planet Reason, who fell to earth and landed in a nation ruled by feminism, emotionalism and irrationality - in the late terminal stages of liberal dementia.

Society is being changed whether we like it or not. Nothing stays the same. Those who do not adapt will not survive.

Liberals will not survive. Nor will liberalism.

Liberalism means living in cloud cuckoo land, a bit like the dodo on its island before it became extinct.

Posie Parker and Anonymous appear to know all about China, a nation increasingly more successful than our own.

Illegal immigrants desperate enough to come to the UK probably would accept a form of slavery as being preferable to conditions back home, wherever that may be.

It seems to be immensely difficult to deport such people and merely imprisoning them would be uneconomic.

It is a measure that would - once for all - enable us to control the flow of immigrants into the UK.

Legal immigrants would consist entirely of those people who are needed.

While illegals, being enslaved, would not compete with the native workforce to the detriment of the latter.

Liberalism has completely corrupted this country. The death penalty, which Claire supports, existed here until the 1960s.

We should return to it again, especially as large-scale immigration has made our society less coherent and more crime-ridden.

Posie and/or Anon won't have heard of the Tytler Cycle.

* From bondage to spiritual faith;
* From spiritual faith to great courage;
* From courage to liberty;
* From liberty to abundance;
* From abundance to complacency;
* From complacency to apathy;
* From apathy to dependence;
* From dependence back into bondage.

It's all happening now anyway.

Also, slavery and brothel-keeping is not unIslamic.
