The God of Islam

The God of Islam is the God of Government, Politics and Law.

It is the religion of political philosophy that is open to atheists.

The Koran is drafted as a contract between God and Man.

If you believe in God then its threats and promises might have some weight on you.

If you do not believe in God then you would have to go straight to its prohibitions and injunctions to examine the evil they were designed to discourage, and give reasons whether you agree or disagree with each Koranic law.

If you are not prepared to do this, then you are not qualified to have a rational or intelligent discussion on the subject.  Your hatred and fear of Muslims alone does not amount to a qualification.

Andromeda,
OK! I am going to buy a copy of The Koran and take the time to read it with a broad mind. Muslim societies are virtuously patriarchal, chauvinistic while stable, therefore, Islam must have some merits. Although I don’t like the idea of bending three time a day towards Mecca, the prohibitions on eating pork, drinking alcohol, listening and dancing to licentious music (such as salsa) and having women wearing those horrible burkas and hijabs.
Yours.

If you read the Koran you will find there is no complete prohibition against drinking alcohol or music. There is no mention of having to cover your head either.

http://thebattlefieldoflove.blogspot.com/2010/01/properly-attired-muslim-ornaments.html has my interpretation on the verse about covering up one's "ornaments".

All the objectionable stuff is in the Hadith. The Koran seems to me to be reason itself.
