On narcissism and narcissists on Mental Health Awareness Day

Is narcissism something we are all occasionally guilty of? In the olden days, we would just be accused of being selfish, self-centred or unscrupulous.

A narcissist would say "If it doesn't affect me, I don't care. If it doesn't make sense for me to do it, then no one else should do it, and if they do, they are stupid. If they succeed, I will slag them off because they succeeded where I failed."

Sadly, most people in a society that cares nothing for religion and has no principles because they adhere to no religous principles will be a society of unprincipled narcissists who are only guided by their appetites, emotions and moods.

Unprincipled people who appear to have strong feelings that yoyo with predictable regularity and who contradict themselves with monotonous regularity tend to be narcissists. If they tell lies and don't even know they are contradicting themselves, they are probablly a narcisisist.
