Do we know what's good for us as individuals and nations in the long and short run? The truth is that we don't. All we can do is try not to break the law.
Let us suppose that I can persuade enough people that nationalism should be defined as government in the national interest.
Even if nationalism is personal interest nationalised, most people don't know what's good for them and neither do most nations. All the more reason then for us as individuals, nations and empires to follow the laws of God contained in the Koran since these laws are intended to be for universal and eternal application.
