If you see the wisdom of God's laws, you would wish to obey them. If you wish to obey them, then you would want to believe in God to help you obey them. Once you decide you want to believe, then you will believe. Choosing a religion is a moral and political choice and nothing to do with faith at all, I would argue.
This means we choose not to believe because we do not wish to obey God's laws denying the wisdom of them.
This would be fair enough if those who believe in the wisdom of liberalism and atheism would be prepared to engage on the matter, but it seems they are too afraid of losing the argument.
