Mainstream media is the boy who cried wolf

The media is the boy who cried wolf once too often. Because the media has now entirely discredited itself, people now choose whatever they want to believe. YouTube and others - which allow people to create their own echo chambers and cosy little circles - is now considered the preferred form of political activism. Political activism can never be preaching to the choir, snug in our own hug boxes. But this is what we do now because mainstream media is the greatest propaganda machine of all.

The only way to reverse this impression would be for mainstream media to give dissenters like me a job.
