Narcissus died of narcissism

The definition of narcissism is the worship of oneself or one's ideas and opinions while refusing to engage when people challenge you.

Referring to anything you post as "teachings" while refusing to explain or justify incoherent and irrational statements is an example. Calling people mad and foolish while being unable to give examples of people being mad or foolish is further evidence of narcissism, unless to respond to posts by a narcissist is in itself evidence of foolishness and madness. 

Let us hope that interest in the pathology if narcissism is not in itself foolishness and madness since being interested in the paths of foolishness and madness with a view to their prevention and cure does not make me a participant in and facilitator of madness and foolishness. 

I ask the question: Is narcissism a defect of character or a mental health issue?

If most people not in government suffer from narcissism, what do you think will happen to your society if most people in government suffer from narcissism too? 

Is the cure to narcissism a proper understanding of your place in the world and what you are supposed to do?  

Does the proper understanding of this include being in a patriarchy maintained by obedience to God's laws in the Koran?

If you disagree, do you have a better idea?

If you disagree but don't have a better idea and cannot even formulate a rational argument, are you being honest, rational or moral?

If you are none of those things, why should anyone listen to you?

If you still insist that people should listen to you even if you are none of those things and cannot formulate a sound argument, are you in fact suffering from Narcissistic Personality Disorder?

Can narcissism be cured by belief in God?

Yes, but only if they believe in the Abrahamic God as well and understand the reasons for the prohibition against idolatry. Christians and those from a Christian background are utterly unable to get their heads around idolatry or do not care to understand because they think they know better, which is further evidence of narcissism.

Narcissism can destroy lives and civilisations because making dishonest, illogical and immoral decisions destroy lives. Not only that, the sheer amount of time and effort required to dislodge people from their narcissistic and nihilistic preoccupations and delusions is a problem in itself causing delays and obstructions on what should be a flat and easy path.

The easiest way to spot a narcissist is that they suffer from the Sin of Pride which belief in God would correct. How they talk about God is an indication of their narcissism eg "God is my best friend and we have friendly chats all the time" suggests that they are not taking the Abrahamic God seriously enough. This is a peculiarly Christian failing because Christians have been indoctrinated into thinking of God as Jesus, their friendly neighbourhood deity.
