Which legislation am I discussing?

1. I say "[Fill in the blank] legislation is thoughtcrime."

2. WOMAN IN HR: "No, shut up, you're stupid."

3. I say "But it is thoughtcrime and the First Amendment is about not allowing this sort of thing."

4. WOMAN IN HR: "No, shut up, you're stupid."

5. I say "But people who have illegitimate offspring are not a protected group under any legislation you can cite. Unmarried and married people of either sex and any sexual orientation of any race or religion could have illegitimate offspring and I was proposing to ask potential employees whether they *would* have illegitimate offspring."

6. WOMAN IN HR: "No, shut up, you're stupid."

7. I say "Being an unmarried parent would have a bearing on your performance as an employee."

8. WOMAN IN HR: "No, shut up, you're stupid."

9. I say "If you are a woman who gets pregnant without even marrying first getting equal pay, maternity leave and maternity pay which are costs your employer is expected to bear, you would give your employer even less warning than if you were a married woman."

10. WOMAN IN HR: "No, shut up, you're stupid."

11. I say "So show me any legal opinion that says I am wrong."

12. WOMAN IN HR: "I have no legal opinion to show you but just shut up, you're stupid. I am surprised you haven't realised that I am trying to tell you that to ask your questions and discuss what you're discussing is illegal or should be made illegal."
