So I have now watched the fifth series of The Crown.
I admit to having changed my mind about the monarchy and now realise it is not whether I am republican or monarchist that matters or even whether the British support it. Diana was shown to have repeatedly voted NO to monarchy in a series of telephone polls.
No, the question is not whether some people find the monarchy useful or whether I was once a monarchist, but whether God if He exists supports monarchy.
The most cursory examination of history would show that God frowns on monarchs as well as monarchists.

The first four rightly-guided Caliphs were not kings.
Surely it is not that controversial to say that God if He exists is definitely a republican?
