Christianity operated by forbidding any other kind of idolatry apart from the idolatrous worship of Jesus and Mary


Worship of saints is idolatry.

Pagans cannot agree with each other about which pagan deity to worship.

4:00  It would be rational not to worship idols.

7:00  Lord of the Rings is just a story.  Even the writer admits it is just a story.

9:00  Pagans are materialistic. It would be a step up to worship reason.
