God made Jews His Chosen People so that gentiles can observe Jews and avoid their terrible mistakes, but gentiles are stupid too and do not use their powers of moral reasoning and free will which God supposedly conferred on them. This is of course very offensive to God. We all know how we would feel if we gave something valuable and special to someone and they did not even bother to unwrap the present, and left it lying in their hallway unopened for centuries if not millennia like an unwanted parcel.
Fortunately, God in His mercy has sent a certain individual who has a birthday on Tisha B'Av to explain to Jews and gentiles what they are missing: true belief in God and therefore the fear of God for what they He might do to them for their disobedience spanning centuries if not millennia.
The trouble with hypocrites claiming to believe in God whether Jew or gentile is that it is impossible to make them entertain the idea of divine punishment if they do not believe God exists to punish them for anything.
