No blue tick marks for God, not even after 1400 years!  Jews, Christians and Muslims haven't even asked each other "Isn't it idolatry to worship a man? Which law for whom was Jesus supposed to have fulfilled? Which scripture can this law be found? Christians say the New Covenant is Jesus, but surely a covenant is a legal agreement? Isn't the Koran the New Covenant predicted in the Book of Jeremiah? Why haven't  Muslims pointed this out to Jews? Are they stupid or something?"

If this life is an examination hall testing us for our ability to tell the difference between good and evil, then we must have moral agency. We are obviously not exercising our moral reasoning to its fullest extent if we refuse to think out of the box of the Religion of Mum and Dad. What if Mum and Dad are Aztecs?

There is a verse in the Koran warning people against exactly this. What if our parents and ancestors were without guidance and the equivalent of Aztecs and primitive people who practised human sacrifice, or, God forbid, cannibalism?

Throughout the text, the Quran portrays disbelievers clinging to ancestral customs as an excuse to reject the truth. Key verses highlight this dynamic:

Blind Adherence: "When it is said to them, ‘Follow what Allah has revealed,’ they reply, ‘No! We only follow what we found our forefathers practicing.’ Would they still do so, even if their forefathers had absolutely no understanding or guidance?" (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:170).

Rejection of Prophets: Whenever messengers were sent to nations, the elite would typically respond: "We found our forefathers on a way and we are only following in their footsteps" (Surah Az-Zukhruf 43:22).
