What is this first step?

The Koran is generally acknowledged to be a great work of literature, even by non-Muslims.

It is also said to be the directly revealed Word of God.

If that is so, it should be regarded as a contract between God and Man.

It promises to be a warning and a guide for mankind and warrants that its guidance will keep man peaceful and at peace with himself, but only if its directions are followed.

While it is said to be a religion of peace, it is also a religion of war – a war against evil and oppression, idolatry and irrationality, intoxication, usury, gambing and sexual licence.

This being so, it would benefit law students to study such a divine contract, whether or not they are Muslim as it would usefully add to their legal knowledge and drafting skills.

Even if Koranic knowledge were acquired reluctantly, just for the utilitarian purpose of passing a law exam and getting a law degree, it is very likely that the law student who goes on to becomes a legal practitioner will apply Koranic principles either consciously or unconsciously when interpreting and applying the law.

An example of this is seen in the case of Donoghue v Stevenson which promoted the Christian principle of love thy neighbour also found in The Old Testament in Leviticus. The Koran has a similar principle too.

There will doubtless be skeptics and Islamophobes who will have to be persuaded of the wisdom of adopting such a course, which they will find objectionable and frightening.

To counter them, simply form a Koran Book Club and offer generous prizes to non-Muslims only for essays that confirm what has been said above.

The Caliphate should be fully mature in about two decades, I predict.

Thesis (Modernism), Antithesis (Post Modernism), Synthesis (Theocracy)

Modernism is the idea of thinking we can dispense with the strictures of religion in order to maintain our civilisation and Post Modernism is a state of denial of the consequences of dispensing with the strictures of religion. Post Modernism can only be followed by a Theocracy.

What is Nationalism?

I would say that Nationalism would be a National Religion that promotes the long term National Interest.  The National Interest is always a judicious balance of the conflicting interests of Young and Old, Male and Female, the settled and indigenous British as well as the newly arrived British citizen, the rich and the poor, etc.

What is religion?  It comes from the Latin "religare" which means "to bind".  To bind what?  To bind society, to bind the peoples of that nation.  Nothing binds a society better than venerating the institutions of Marriage and Family and nothing destroys common values more than ideologies such as Feminism, Liberalism and Socialism, which desecrate those institutions by promoting female promiscuity which they call Free Love and Sexual Liberation (which will turn us into a nation of sluts and bastards of exceptional stupidity, irrationality, depravity and cowardice).

Religion is therefore the means by the ancients achieved the goal of what we call Social Cohesion, and that is done by establishing Common Values so that we can live together in a fair but lightly-regulated and harmonious society, without the necessity for totalitarian thoughtcrime legislation forbidding us to hate and discriminate on grounds of race, disability, sexual orientation, age and gender.

Liberty can best be defined as

1. Freedom of Expression
2. Freedom of Contract
3. Freedom of Association
4. Freedom of Belief
5. the Right to Property

Any law that infringes on any of those liberties listed above should be treated with extreme suspicion, for it would be an attempt by the state to destroy the foundations of our liberties.

Without Free Speech, we can have no possibility of rational discourse, and without rational discourse any civilisation would decline and fall into barbarism, anarchy and depravity.

It is possible to have a religion with God.  Communism, Socialism, Liberalism, Fascism and Nazism were all religions without God.

Hegel's concept of Spirit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Phenomenology_of_Spirit is perhaps a metaphor for a national consciousness of our collective desire for good government.   Hopefully, this desire, translated into action, will take us away from the swamp of Liberalism and the quicksand of Feminism and into the Promised Land of Peace, Reason, Order, Liberty, Progress and good government with fewer laws and lower taxes.  

Secular Koranism a weapon to defeat the insanity of both religious fanatics and liberal extremists

It is pretty clear to me anyway that all the Abrahamic faiths were created to strengthen the patriarchy and to prevent a self-destructive, promiscuous and irrational matriarchy from returning society to the barbarism from which it once emerged.

When you are faced with two evils facing your society and civilisation, it would be rational to choose the lesser evil. Patriarchy v Matriarchy: which is the lesser evil?

Secular Koranism invites you to agree that the Koran is a good enough guide for mankind, even if one does not believe in the existence of a living God.

Unfortunately, sloth and pride as well as hate and fear prevent most intelligent and educated people from picking it up and reading it for themselves.

Old Testament/Judaism/Law = Thesis

Koran/Islam/Law, Mercy and Reason = Synthesis

Why are the Muslims such basket cases? Because most of them don't read the Koran in the same way that people who claim to be Christians don't know their Bible either.

Secular Koranism would require that people *qualify* as Secular Koranists through passing an exam. This would actually mean Secular Koranists are in fact better guided than those who claim to be Muslim but have never read the Koran with any understanding or digested or practiced its principles.
