As a Labour man, it is no surprise that McTernan will deliberately pretend that the BNP and UKIP are the same party, but can he explain what he means by urging the LibLabCon not to steal UKIP policies and "mobilising the silent majority"?
@johnmcternan @blue_labour If the Labour Party does not feel it is its job 2 protect British workers then why shd British workers vote 4 it?

Ukip is a party that the mainstream parties will never defeat by mimicking, only by mobilising the silent majority.

@ntfem I mean neither Labour or Tory should chase UKIP on human rights, immigration, free movement or general outery
— John McTernan (@johnmcternan) October 2, 2014
@johnmcternan What do you mean by "outery"?

@johnmcternan Do I take it that you disapproved of Maurice Glasman and @blue_labour?
— Claire Khaw (@ntfem) October 2, 2014
@ntfem @blue_labour No. Just don't agree with everything they say. A Labour party can't oppose free movement of labour.
— John McTernan (@johnmcternan) October 2, 2014
@johnmcternan @blue_labour Why can't the Labour Party oppose free movement of labour to protect British workers?
— Claire Khaw (@ntfem) October 2, 2014
@ntfem @blue_labour Because free movement is a benefit to UK workers - opens EU to them.
— John McTernan (@johnmcternan) October 2, 2014
@johnmcternan @blue_labour Is this what Labour supporters who have joined UKIP would agree with?

@johnmcternan Who are the "silent majority" to whom you refer and what do you think are their views?
— Claire Khaw (@ntfem) October 2, 2014

@johnmcternan If this silent majority to whom you refer are silent, then how would you know what they are thinking?

@johnmcternan So you are basically saying that the LibLabCon should just do more of the same and ignore UKIP altogether?
— Claire Khaw (@ntfem) October 2, 2014
@ntfem Yes and no. Yes we should ignore your policies. No we should fight to win the voters who are attracted to policies that wd hurt them
— John McTernan (@johnmcternan) October 2, 2014
@johnmcternan What arguments would you put to the voters who are attracted to UKIP policies? Call them racists and take their children away?
— Claire Khaw (@ntfem) October 2, 2014
@ntfem Nope.
— John McTernan (@johnmcternan) October 2, 2014
@johnmcternan Then what arguments would you use?
