My answer would have been:
If quran.com/24/2 were in force under a Caliphate governed by the principles of Secular Koranism, we wouldn't have any of that nonsense because most women of child-bearing age in the workplace would either be looking for a husband without being allowed to fornicate with them to prevent unwanted pregnancy and widespread illegitimacy, or at home looking after hearth, home, husband, children and their local community.
