The trouble with Western Man is that he is now so afraid that he is too afraid to say that he is afraid. If it is true that to investigate a problem is to solve it, Western Man is too afraid now to investigate his problem and even denies he has one. If there is a problem you dare not admit, then you will be even further from solving it than a person who admits he has a problem.

Solon ended exclusive aristocratic control of the government, substituted a system of control by the wealthy, and introduced a new and more humane law code. He was also a noted poet.
