The naked emperor of liberalism

Principles are to die for.

Before I am accused of extremism or fanaticism, let me explain.

If we have principles, we would be expected to follow them whether they result in reward or punishment.

Obviously, it would be nice to be rewarded for following our principles and being rewarded for following, for example, Truth, Logic and Morality would encourage us to further submit to Truth, Logic and Morality.

But what if we are punished for following them? Should we just give them up to avoid punishment?

And if we give them up to avoid punishment, are we following our principles?

Obviously, the worst thing to be threatened with is death, and if we followed our principles to the bitter end, it could result in death.

But who are these people who want to punish us for submitting to Truth, Logic and Morality?

They must surely be immoral and irrational liars with a dark terrible secret to hide.

What is the terrible secret of those who identify with Liberalism that they would wish to cancel you just for saying that what you believe to be true without even engaging in anything resembling a rational argument?

Is there a naked Emperor of Liberalism somewhere claiming to have new clothes that must be protected at all costs?
