Catholic woman admits she is a nihilist

So morality is just an emotion?

1:00  Is Megan admitting to nihilism?

1:00  No example given, no example asked.

2:00  So you're basically saying you have no convictions?

2:45  Can you give an example of what is sustainable regardless of morality?  Are you basically admitting that you are a nihilist?

3:00  You can only be righteous if you have principles. What are your principles? If you're saying your principles are Catholic principles, what are Catholic principles? If you're saying your principles have nothing to do with Catholicism, are you in fact admitting that you are a nihilist who has no principles because you are not sure about anything and are suspicious of people who have moral convictions? Do you know what a moral conviction is? If there is no answer, I will assume that you have none, making you a nihilist, as I suspected all along. All people claiming to be Christians do not really worship the Trinity. So why do they claim to be  Christian? It is just the Religion of Mum and Dad. Why would anyone pretend to be Christian if they don't have Christian beliefs and don't care to discuss the Trinity? Is it because they think it is too hot a topic to discuss or because they are actually bored by the whole thing?

3:00  What is "it"?

The most common term for someone who doubts everything is a *skeptic* (or *sceptic* in British English), defined as a person who habitually doubts accepted beliefs and requires evidence before accepting truth.

Other specific terms depend on the nature of the doubt:
*   **Doubting Thomas**: Someone who refuses to believe anything until they see physical proof themselves.
*   **Cynic**: Someone who is skeptical of human sincerity and generally distrusts others' motives.
*   **Pyrrhonian**: A pedantic term for a skeptic who doubts everything, including the possibility of knowing any truth.
*   **Denialist**: A person who rejects established facts or evidence despite strong proof to the contrary.

Is this what you are confessing to, Megan - Are you basically saying that you have no moral convictions?

Interestingly, none of the Seven Dwarves raised an eyebrow.
