Cleggeron disagreement on internships

I wish, in the spirit of peacemaking that I hope I will one day become known for, offer a solution to the Clegg-Cameron Coalition dichotomy on the question of paid and unpaid internships.

Clegg thinks unpaid internships should be discouraged because they advantage the children of wealthy parents to the disadvantage of children of poorer parents, while Cameron cannot see why parents cannot use their connections to advantage their children.

My solution is simple: there should be an equal number of alternating places in any firm for paid and unpaid internships.

Am I or am I not a genius who should become Dictator of Britain to be elected by SMS using AV on Political X Factor in which I will beat the other candidates by a clear margin?

Ought I not have Obama's Nobel Peace Prize transferred to me forthwith as being the clearly more deserving recipient?

Are not my problem-solving powers simply phenomenal?

Like all the best things in life, my ideas are free.

My message to the Egyptian people if I were PM

Bin Laden is cleverer than to go on and on at the Egyptians to have an Islamic revolution while the dumb Americans set themselves up for the flak when everything goes pear-shaped. Why are they interfering in a way that will only end up getting the Americans more hated than thanked. Shut up, shut up, shut up!

If I were British PM I would have this message for the Egyptians:

"Any government sympathises with another government in trouble, and any people would sympathise with another people in trouble. We trust the Egyptian people will find the wisdom to choose the right course that give them the government they deserve."

What the Egyptians should do?

I just called the Egyptian Embassy for a properly Egyptian view of things.

A very nice man told me that things are much calmer today.

People have gone home.

Mubarak said he would try and do better.

He is going in 6 months.

The Egyptians have had him for 30 years so they should be able to wait another 6 months.

They should give him a chance to get his act together, to be fair.

I think that sounds perfectly reasonable, although I know some of you young Muslim hotheads are now fantasising about galloping through Tahrir Square on your camels, and probably enjoying too much watching Egyptians fighting each other on TV.

It would be better for the Egyptian people if they calmed down and went home, having made their point.

It would be better for us in the West too.

Shut up Obama, and shut up Cameron. They really are such fucking idiots. If only someone would just superglue their lips shut.
