This story makes me think of "khalwat" - the Sharia criminal offence of "close proximity" whereby two unmarried non-relatives of the opposite sex could be apprehended after being found "in compromising positions" by state religious police. This protects the reputations of both the man and the woman, if they are cognisant of this rule and observant of it.

The English version of this (used in a bygone era, before this country became infested with illegitimate children, single mothers and foreigners) would have been:
"Oh Mr Dowson! You naughty man! I couldn't possibly spend the night in a double bed in your hotel bedroom, even if we are both wearing pyjamas! People will talk! I demand that you do the gentlemanly thing and book me my own room in which I can pass the night with my reputation intact. I do hope and trust, Mr Dowson, that you are indeed a gentleman?"
but, sadly, this excuse to preserve what would have been called her "reputation" in a bygone era, is no longer used by the 21st century Englishwoman, however respectable her background, because it simply would not have occurred to her, nor would she have been told any such thing by her mother, since Ms Rose is only young and her grandmother probably a member of the Flower Power People.
Alas, I fear I am betraying my great age by even alluding to these seismic events of British social history. No doubt there are many of you who suspect me of being old enough to be in fact Victorian.
The photos of the delectable Shelley Rose were taken by me, and taken from http://thevoiceofreason-ann.blogspot.com/2010/07/eddy-butlers-leadership-challenge.html

It seems very odd that not only did she allow Mr Dowson to take her for a meal, then theatre, then more drinks, and share a room but later she visited his Villa in Spain. Not a very convincing account of victimhood.
If someone is pushing freebies your way, you probably don't want to ask too many questions.
Don't look a gift horse in the mouth?
