THE VOICE OF REASON Solon, (born c. 630 BCE—died c. 560 BCE), Athenian statesman, known as one of the Seven Wise Men of Greece (the others were Chilon of Sparta, Thales of Miletus, Bias of Priene, Cleobulus of Lindos, Pittacus of Mytilene, and Periander of Corinth). Solon ended exclusive aristocratic control of the government, substituted a system of control by the wealthy, and introduced a new and more humane law code. He was also a noted poet.

Well, of course this is who more and more people 'vote' for.
Either for Nobody, or else for the same old mainstream party that they always have voted for, since they see themselves as part of the same tribe as their peer group, or they think that voting for a small party is a wasted vote.
It's a cynical 'poster' and cynicism appears to be worldly wise and clever, whilst actually being lazy and facile.
Combating cynicism is the first job of any new small party, and the hardest job. It's perfectly achievable though, by making small but concrete differences directly in the community...
I can think of a number of ideas (but I expect that you guessed that already !!!!!)...
Please do tell me your ideas, Elsie!
Ho!
(it's like a red rag to a bull).
On one hand you've got the SSM - sitting around all day in pyjamas, watching day time BBC, dreaming of (not) meeting Darryl, getting worked up over Jimmy Savile, and wasting time on Internet forums...
On the other hand you've got small political parties whose main problem is not getting enough volunteers to post leaflets, doorstep, or stand for candidates.
( before getting votes, there must be someone to vote for).
Obviously the answer would be to get the idle SSM to work for you . But how ?
(As they don't have ethics, ethics are not the problem).
Instant self gratification would seem to be the way that the SSM react.
Something along the lines of organising free child care (you could at least indoctrinate the children, whilst the SSM were occupied), a free 'nite klub' with
bromide laced cheap drinks, a freee packet of fags for every 3,000 leaflets posted...
I don't know...? Be creative....
