The two principles any human being should have

1) Submitting to the Truth

2) Being guided by Reason

Do I even need to explain why?

Even if we are not guided by morality and are psychopathic serial killers, we would still need to perceive the truth and be guided by reason to obtain pleasure and avoid capture.

Being honest about the purpose of social conservatism

The importance of understanding abstract ideas

  1. Marriage
  2. Morality
  3. Tradition
  4. Principle
  5. Justice
  6. Liberty
  7. Faith
  8. Honour
  9. Reason
  10. the long term national interest
Imagine Cameron and his advisers and cronies attempting to write a decent essay about each of these topics, explaining what they are, what they are for, and what they have done to promote it.

Do you think they would pass this test with flying colours or would they fail to even write a coherent paragraph?

Claire Khaw's miscellaneous aphorisms

FORGIVENESS

"Forgiving your enemies serves a very practical purpose.  All those who participate successfully in politics know the utility of having a forgiving nature, for it is this that disarms our enemies."

ABOUT ME

  1. "All the evidence against me is already online."
  2. "I am the mind of a man happily inhabiting the body of a woman."
  3. "My reputation for alleged lunacy and insanity comes not from saying things that I feel to be true, but for daring to say them."
  4. "Women are as afraid of being accused of hard-heartedness in  precisely the same way that men used to be afraid of being accused of effeminacy.  I, being the mind of a man happily inhabiting the body of a woman, would rather be hated for telling the truth than to be loved for the lies I tell."
  5. "I have deconstructed and reconstructed God."
  6. "I am a Jew at heart, but in practice a Muslim."
  7. "I delight in my ideas being tested to destruction. The trouble is getting people to even approach them to have a look."
  8. "If I am biased, I am biased in favour of Truth and Reason."

HAPPINESS

"To be happy one must first learn to be content."

REASON AND EMOTION

Our Emotions are the means by which we gauge the Quality of our Reason. If we do unwise things, we suffer emotional distress. If we use our Reason and behave wisely, we experience the emotional gratification of thinking ourselves wise, beloved, good and fortunate."

COWARDICE

"So many cynics are afraid to defend good ideas that they want to be the first to sneer at them so as not to appear fools for ever supporting what they feel can only fail."

INSANITY

“Insanity is when you are mistaken as to some material and fundamental fact and cannot and will not be corrected. It is not when you are morally wrong.”

AFTERLIFE

  1. "Your soul is the memory you leave behind, which takes on an existence independent of you after you have died."
  2. "The only afterlife we have is the reputation we leave behind."

MORALITY

"We are what we are. Some of us care about what we ought to be."

EXTREMISM

"People call deviating from the norm "extreme". It is as well to deviate from the irrational, if the norm is irrational."

The Prophets of God could have been atheists like me

God is a creation of Man for the purpose of serving as an instrument of government to assist him in his politics, morality and spirituality.

It is quite possible to argue that none of the Prophets of God in fact believed in the actual existence of a living God, and only had the same motivation as parents who make their children believe in Santa.  That motivation is to incentivize better behaviour than might otherwise be shown without a belief in Santa or God.

"Let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion." George Washington

The purpose of Judaism is to demonstrate the superiority of a people who created God and who do what their God commands, even if that God does not promise a heaven or threaten a hell in the afterlife.   (If that is the case then I am at heart a Jew.)

It was the purpose of Christianity to spread the benefits of a unique and omnipotent God to those who are not born Jews and would not wish to convert.  Unfortunately, they did this by means of insisting on their totalitarian doctrine that one must believe in the divinity of Christ to be a Christian, or else go to hell.  (If that is the case then I am at heart a Christian who wishes non-Jews to enjoy the benefits of believing in an omnipotent perfect God that the Jews created for the benefit of Jews.)

The purpose of Islam is to synthesise the previous two religions by making it easier to practice and easier to understand through the means of one book said to be the direct revealed Word of God, which its adherents are meant to consult as often as they can.  To be a Muslim, all one need do is to declare that one submits to  God and affirm that Muhammad was His prophet.

If you understand the concept of a unique and omnipotent God, then you would have to accept the inexorable logic that there cannot be other gods but God, because, being omnipotent, He would not suffer them to exist to be His rivals.

God, if He exists, would embody Truth, Reason and Reality, all of which I am perfectly happy to submit to.

I have no difficulty agreeing with Muslims that Muhammad is a Prophet of Islam either.

There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the messenger of God.

Man's Greatest Achievement is the Creation of God

The only thing that distinguishes Man from lower animals is our ability to reason better than they how best to obtain pleasure and avoid pain in the long term. It was after all Man who created God and the institution of marriage. That must be Man's greatest achievement of all time.

God was created through an act of thinking, when Man conceived of a being that is unique, omnipotent and omniscient - a supreme being.

Having created God in his mind, by an act of thinking, Man simply started behaving as if God existed, Pygmalion-like, in just the same way a troubled child is encouraged by a child psychologist to have an imaginary friend.  That was how God came into existence.

Lust is a deadly sin when we have extra-marital sex, yet is instantly converted into something good and godly if we are married.   It has all the mysteries of transubstantiation yet can be explained quite simply.

If you are a woman, it is much easier to get a man to have sex with you than it is to get him to marry you.

Woman, do not take the easy way out and misuse the sexual instinct to prove - exactly what?  That a man will have sex with you because you are not smelly, old, repulsive or diseased?

Let us therefore use this instrument of good government that is God to obtain pleasure and avoid pain in the long term.

Most of us are not saints and philosophers and do not care about the long term if the short term beckons with promises of pleasure.  Most of us are therefore like lower animals, and will not change our behaviour except through fear and pain.  Only a general belief in an omnipotent and omniscient God will make these lower human beings do the right thing therefore.  God is after all cheaper than CCTV and less intrusive than thoughtcrime laws.

Let us have the humility once again to pick up this much-used and much-abused Instrument of Good Government and vow to try harder and do better this time.

Liberals have their own priesthood too, do they not?  They have their own - dread word - theocracy, ie their  people who have the power to initiate, pass and enforce laws and also start wars that kill and torture people for unfair, irrational and unkind reasons.

Liberals believe in Free Love which would lead to a matriarchy, ie a society that condones female promiscuity.   Female promiscuity is logically, biologically and inevitably the facilitator of male promiscuity.

Anti-liberals (who believe that God serves the purpose of assisting us in our government, morality and spirituality) believe that a patriarchy which condones male promiscuity is the lesser evil, and those in charge of the ship of state always have a duty to choose the lesser evil in the long term.

The reason they do not is because our political system and political establishment is now infected by matriarchal dementia.

If the matriarchal dementia we are now suffering from is terminal and irreversible then the patient should at least know what he is dying of.

Faith and Reason; Faith v Reason

Is it reasonable to have faith? Should we have faith in reason? Whether we believe in God or not, surely we should have faith in the future and faith in our convictions?

Our convictions must surely be in accordance with Truth, Reason and Reality or they will not withstand the wear and tear of Truth, Reason and Reality.

If God is omnipotent, omniscient, eternal and unique, then He must surely also incorporate Truth, Reason and Reality.

On this point perhaps atheists and monotheists can agree: that whether we believe in God or not, we must inevitably submit to Truth, Reason and Reality.

Which might conceivably make us all Muslim originally, without realising it ...

A disturbing thought for some, no doubt.

A Cult of Reason and The Supreme Being - "CORASB"

The practice of submitting to Truth, Reason and Reality (if that is what God is, if He/She/It exists) is capable of both being a philosophy and a religion.

To start a Cult of Reason and The Supreme Being that is mutually indivisible is therefore logically possible and politically desirable.

Imagine: a religion and philosophy capable of appealing to both atheists and monotheists ....

Is it rational to be moral and moral to be rational?

Is it moral to act rationally?

Is it rational to act morally?

Is it rational to seek pleasure and avoid pain?

Is it immoral to seek pleasure and avoid pain at the expense of others? Do the ends justify the means?

Would the means accomplish the ends?

If God is Reason, Truth and Reality, then it would appear that we must at all times submit to Reason, Truth and Reality, for our own good.
