Two simple reasons why invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan is Illegal

OFFICIAL:

Invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan ILLEGAL. Why? Because Article 5 of NATO Treaty implicitly refers to an "armed attack" by another sovereign state.

Al Qaeda is not another sovereign state.

Iraq was not responsible for 9/11.

Anyone who still supports the invasions are supporters of illegal wars.

As long as we are now clear about this.

After the Cold War, their electorates were (falsely) assured that their Constitutional Guarantees of neutrality would remain in place and they have. But US diplomats in Dublin, Vienna & Helsinki excogitated some way of getting round that, eg "Atlantic Council" membership or some such pretext to send their troops anyway. Constitutionally, they are not supposed to deploy troops to fight abroad (but then neither is Germany, nor Japan) so they get round that by sending non combatants (medics, paramedics) instead. Critics say that even this helps the US Imperialist War effort, by freeing up others of General McChrystal's Occupation Forces for combat duties. Maybe, but I think Hill Clinton's State Dept is more interested in the diplomatic support of Dublin, Vienna and Helsinki: by bullying supposedly "neutral" (but really pro US) governments into supporting the US smash and grab raid in Afghan, Washington makes it look as though The International Community is (like God) On Their Side."
