These Yanks like their cute little ideas, eg the Domino Theory. The most laughably arrogant example was Francis FuckYourMamma's End of History.

These fuckers really really believe in it too, The Wolfowitz Doctrine has historical precedent which is something along the lines of "The strong do what they will, and the weak suffer as they must", or, if you prefer, "We will fuck with you and fuck with you and fuck with you cos we can, until you stop us."
