Why I have no wish to become MP

Becoming MP is the occupation of being paid by the taxpayer to lose the ability to speak your mind.

What sane and honourable person would willingly do that, and then be treated like shit and expected to live on rations?

More Advice for Distressed Parliamentarians

  1. Punch your leader in the kisser and loosen his teeth a bit. (It was the fault of all three party leaders who stopped you from voting for a pay rise anyway.)
  2. Or you could do something on Ides of March lines. Just imagine, it will all be on BBC Parliament! This is bound to delight any constituent of any constituency and is bound to make you more popular. MPs of all parties unite! You have nothing to lose but your seats! (And that is surely not worth having any more with the pittance they pay you!)
  3. Join the BNP or UKIP.
  4. Get into government again.
  5. Vote yourselves an index-linked salary.

David Wilshire compares treatment of MPs to Hitler's treatment of Jews

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/conservative-mps-expenses/6480680/MPs-expenses-David-Wilshire-compares-treatment-of-politicians-to-Jews-in-Nazi-Germany.html

Some may think this is a bit over the top, but MPs are social pariahs, even more despised than all the immigrants legal and illegal, asylum seekers failed and bogus they have let in.

Was there not talk of Resettlement Grants recently in relation to MPs?

Where would they be expelled to, I wondered, for a brief mad moment. Madagascar?

The only way they can redeem themselves now is if they all joined the BNP, demanded a BNP-UKIP merger and campaigned for an EU referendum.

But they won't because they are feeble-minded cowards and weaklings, despicable and hypocritical.

Perhaps concentration camps can be set up for them near the House since they are no longer allowed a second home allowance.

They can join Brian Haw who has established a camp there. Their joining him in protesting against the Iraq war may dispose the public to relent when it comes to sending them to the extermination camps that are now being built to receive them.

Frank Field - Prince of Principles

The justice of a roulette wheel

I am delighted that Frank Field has seen fit to protest against this blatant infringement against the rules of natural justice.

Laws should not be retrospective.

One should not be led to think it is OK to do something, do it in good faith, and then be told later that it turns out that people are very upset, have it in for us and want to punish us out out of sheer vindictiveness and that our leaders will see to it that we are punished rather than take the hit themselves.

After all it was the three party leaders who prevented MPs from voting for a payrise and fobbed them off with generous expense claims in lieu.

Why no MP has pointed this out I do not know. Perhaps it would "send out the wrong message" and demonstrate that not only are MPs useless at looking after the national interest, they are also hopless at looking after even their own best interests. Not only are they cowardly, dishonest and greedy, they are also stupid.

I pride myself on my longstanding support for causes, individuals and groups who have been misunderstood and traduced.

In my time I have stood up for the BNP, Peter Mandelson, Muslims as well as the Sharia for the UK Muslims.

I now stand up for the most despised group of all - MPs.

Things are now so bad for them that only

1. stringing all three of the party leaders to adjacent lamp-posts on Parliament Square

2. beheading this treacherous trinity and putting their heads on spikes on Tower Hill

3. joining the BNP en masse

could make them less unpopular.

(It looks like there is an unofficial vacancy for an MP shop stewardess. I wouldn't mind being Union Baroness if there is a job like that going, to be honest.)

Who is really responsible for the expenses scandal? (Hint: Not MPs themselves, not really)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7206137.stm

With regard to the MPs' expenses scandal, I would just like to say, before we go any further, that I would probably be as guilty as the most grasping of them, and claim for anything and everything I am allowed to, as long as it is within the rules.

I would not of course claim for mortgages I have already redeemed, but I might have thought that if my work took me away from my husband in the evenings, then he could be kept amused watching porn movies in the home instead of going out to pick up girls or go cruising in Clapham Common.

I am sure I too would flip my homes and indulge in a little property speculation myself to get the maximum I was entitled to claim within the rules, whatever they are, and it is not clear what they are, even now.

A politician's career is a short and uncertain one, as we all know, if one does not make it to the Big Name League like ex-Presidents and ex-Prime Ministers.

A little bit of forensic moralising has now revealed that it is in fact the party leaders who are to blame, since they all refused their members a vote on the matter of their pay rises.

A deal was done with them whereby they were bought off with very flexible rules on claiming expenses.

This forced many of them to scrabble around in this undignified way for their money that they should had paid as salary.

Since our political classes are so woefully inept at even safeguarding their own interests, how can we even hope to trust them to safeguard ours?

Of course the answer is that we do not and would really like to string them up to the nearest lamp-post. We feel hatred, ridicule and contempt and they feel the full blast of our hatred, ridicule and contempt.

What are any of them doing in the way of policies to assuage us, even the so-called leaders of these small-minded faint-hearted tribes?

A big fat nothing. They are still going on about public spending and the NHS, the fools.

No, I'm afraid it is a little more than that. It will be about slaying the sacred cows that the British worship. Let us therefore have parties that would protect the sacred cows and those that would slay them.

Then maybe we can watch something resembling democracy in action.

If not, then this putative democracy of ours remains a sham. But most of us already knew that, did we not? The Chinese Communist Party has more democracy in its little finger than we do in our bloated bellies.

When Deng Xiaoping decided it might be an idea to try capitalism to see how it would go, and enough members in the only party in China were persuaded, why, that was what they actually did. It was a capitalist counter-revolution indeed, but only capable of happening without bloodshed, because the rules are clear-cut and transparent.

Now of course even the MPs do not know what the rules are, or if they know the words, they do not know the meaning of them or what is expected of them. Nor are they told. Nor do they ask.

The Chinese at least have the best and brightest leading them, while the British make a policy of having the most incompetent and cowardly time-servers in the land in charge of the ship of state.

Perhaps every civilisation has a death wish. It is collectively expressed often by action (such as starting dishonourable and ruinous wars), and just as often by inaction and apathy.

MP expenses claims: Gallows in Parliament Square as opinion polling

http://www.parliament-square.org.uk/contacts.html (contact details of Brian Haw, who has camped there since 2 June 2001)

Elliot Morley is in such deep do-do over claiming interest on a mortgage he has already paid off that he has been suspended by the Labour Party.

At least he cannot use the tired old excuse that it was "all within the rules". Dark mutterings of fraud have been heard.

I wonder if there is any law that prohibits the ostentatious erection of multiple gallows in Parliament Square.

They could be added and taken off according to how the populace feel about the performance of our political classes. It may be more effective than getting YouGov to poll us.

A poll on this can be found at

http://www.1party4all.co.uk/Home/Account/TopicForm.aspx?topicsId=133

Frankly, if I lived in the Eastern Region, I would be voting for David Lucas, the BNP MEP candidate, for his enterprise and advocacy of the death penalty and his skill in the building and exporting of gallows, if not for his disgusting beard. I wonder if he is still single. I know the best men - even those with horrible beards - are usually already taken.

Vote BNP in the Euro elections.

You know you want to.
