Should David Cameron resign BEFORE 18 September 2014 for allowing the Scottish Referendum?

1. Was it negligent and incompetent of David Cameron to not consider the possibility that the Scots might vote YES to Scottish Independence?

The biggest shift has been among women. One of the features of the campaign so far has been the huge gender gap, with men only narrowly favouring the union, and women overwhelmingly opposed to independence. The gap remains big, but it is not as vast as it used to be. A month ago, women opposed independence by 68-32%; now the figure is 62-38%. Men divide 54-46% in favour of the union, little changed on our last two surveys.

What has happened? It’s not that there has been a surge in female support for the SNP. Their voting intentions for Holyrood are virtually unchanged.

Nor is it that women are coming round to the belief that they will personally better off in an independent Scotland. Just 17% expect this, much the same as the 16% we recorded when we last asked this question in December. Far more, 40%, expect to be worse off.

What has changed is what women expect for Scotland as a whole. Three months ago, 52% of women thought Scotland’s economy would suffer under independence, while just 22% expected things to improve – a vast 30-point chasm. Today, the gap has almost halved to 18 points, with 45% of women fearing that the economy would get worse, and 27% expecting it to get better. Once again, there has been little shift in the answers men give (33% worse, 44% better in our latest survey).

One possible explanation for the shift among Scotland’s women is that Alex Salmond has acted on past warnings of his lack of female support for independence. He has unveiled a new strategy for child care, offering a significant expansion if Holyrood wins full powers to tax and spend as it pleased.

It’s not often that a single policy statement changes votes. It is more likely that Salmond’s new policy has helped to counter a more widespread, perhaps sub-conscious, sense that independence is a macho project with risks that men are more willing to take. It could be that some women, hitherto nervous about independence, find a reassurance in Salmond’s child care policy that goes beyond the specific benefits that would go to families with young children.

What is to be done?

I urge Ann Coulter to visit Britain to propose the abolition of female suffrage, before they cause any more damage. We all know British females are infamously promiscuous and that most British mothers are SSMs.

I think Tom Harris should be leader of the Labour Party.  I have said it before, and I will say it again.  The Labour Party, if it were wise, should dump that space oddity Mad Ed and choose Tom Harris, even if he is a bit of a coward because he often does and says the right things and then apologises for it.  Do that less, Tom, and people will like you more.

Saving the Scotties from Shrek - the political option

All the English have to do is offer the Scotties massive tax cuts.

Shrek is a PC Statist and all PC Statists want BIG GOVERNMENT and this means higher taxes and more laws than anti-statist Libertarians.

All the English have to do is offer the Scotties a smaller government, with fewer laws and lower taxes.  (And whatever tax cuts the Scotties get, so will the English.)

If they are silly enough to refuse, then they have been warned that the military option will be used.

I like to think that most Scotties are not really socialists and only  pretend to be because they hate the English and wish to upset them and hurt their feelings.

Saving the Scotties from Shrek - the military option

1.  Get tanks on the lawns of Scottish Parliament.

2.  Get out of tank and shoot Alex Salmond in front of the Assembly.

3.  Recommend that the Scotties hold elections pronto.

How silly of Alex Salmond not to have noticed that the English have a well-established track record of invading other countries and stealing their oil.  Does he really think the English would not invade the Scotties just because they are Scotties?

How silly of Alex Salmond to imagine that there will even be a euro for the Scotties to use or an EU for him to be running cap in hand to after 2014.  The Scotties, if ever they joined the EU on their own account, would have their oil revenues sucked dry by the EU.

And so the English should tell the Scotties "BETTER THE DEVIL YOU KNOW".

Alex Salmond, plausible though he is to a people worked into a frenzy of hatred for the English, is not fit to lead even the Slut and Bastard English, and certainly not the Scotties whom I like to think are not as slutty or as bastard as the English.

It is really too bad of the Scotties to fall so readily for his lies and dreams just because they hate the English.

THEY MUST BE SAVED FROM SHREK.

As I have shown, it would be a short sharp shock with no need for English boots on Scottish ground in either the medium or long term. I envisage it more as a day trip really or a long weekend at most.

I have consulted my military advisers and they have said nothing to me that would make me think that what I propose cannot be accomplished in the time-frame envisaged.
